Why do people hate dropping classes in college?

nikkas rather get an F on their transcript? whats so bad about withdrawing and retaking the class later?

Getting an f or a withdrawal can screw up completion when it comes to financial aid and it means you may be in school longer.

Too many W's will bar you from graduate school. Employers look at transcripts and think of you as a quitter.

F's makes you look incompetent but at least you can retake the class and the new grade will be taken into the GPA calculation.

you should only drop if you have to, i've dropped once. Zero on exam because I fell asleep BEFORE CLASS STARTED. Professor thought it was weird that I didn't flip out so she recommended me for counseling... what? I think she's fired now. It set me back in N ursing courses but I received a B in my second time around

having an F on your transcript cant be ignored...at least with a W you can have that excuse when you retake it, and have a better grade

At my school they put a cap on attempted hours. Even if you drop a class it counted towards your attempted hours and if you reach a certain amount your tuition doubles

Tho it never happened to me, I still have nightmares about getting to the end of a semester and realizing I forgot to drop a class. That's a scary feeling

yup. means ur gonna be in school longer and thus spend/borrow more money. I wasn't any kinda scholar, but I graduated college in 4 years with ease, cuz I NEVER had to drop classes, nor did I come close to flunking anything.
