I was getting a shape up from the barbershop on Friday, and nikkas were getting at Hov for raising his daughter, talking about how he still be "Big Pimpin" and fukking random hoes at the age of 44. I ain't no Jigga stan, but that mentality disturbs me when nikkas get at older black folk, especially from the Hip Hop side, about growing into maturity and playing their role well. nikkas on here get at Ice Cube playing family roles in film when he 45 himself.

In this modern era, why do people hate when black folk being in Hip Hop, or affiliated with Hip Hop, have to be stuck mentally like a teenager from the block?

Barbershop talk is not to be taken serious.

Usually isn't, but in the case with black folk getting mad at other black folk for growing up, shyt makes me :leostare: more than usual. How can you hate on a black man that wants to be family oriented over the age of 40, but people still think that he should be in the club chasing hoes every weekend?

I've notice it more from older black women and younger black men..

the first side is the negative

U hear these old broads talking about u still listening to hip-hop or u a growing man why u listening to who ever that this kendrick lamar guy.. when i hear that come out of a woman mouth i know that's the type i avoid.. and let me tell u i have probably cost myself 100 women base off of what they tell me what i should be listening to or doing with my life.. The exact same broads who wouldn't have a problem if denzel or idris elba ( who still do rap at 40 back in london ) is doing it..

The young nikkas don't even listen to ice cube, nas, ghostface, jay-z or any other older rappers words..

secondly the positive

U have alot of people who assume rappers should still be out there in the streets doing nikkas shyt... That's why nas continue to last long and cube and jigga... they change every year when it comes to there music and lifestyle

These men have families now and went through more hip-hop wars these younger rappers will never go through because all these nikkas are 10 minute rappers who are gone by the following year

Its all about how you was raised. There aren't too many upstanding men to teach younger men about being a man and raising a family. The only men these men looked up to was the local hustlers or media star. That's the lifestyle they want to be in without knowing these people are miserable and killing their misery with fukkery.

Nikkas just need to learn to think for themselves and know the consequences of a wrong upbringing/actions.
Looking up to positivity you learn to maneuver through negativity.

shyt gets too obvious after a certain age. Its like once a person lives past 25, they don't know what to do. Sad shyt is, these days, there are more examples of a man growing and embracing maturity than the 90s-in immediate hoods.

Nah, that shyt happened without me saying a word. It came to a point where I said :what: @ some of these nikkas arguments about a 40 something year old man should still be club hopping and fukking hoes, like a college student.

shyts get old after awhile

There's a time to man up, if you can't do that, then you might as well change gender.
