Trump has about 2 and a half months before he sits in that oval office and has to enact policy. The point of the protests is for people to voice their dissent and to let Trump know any radical policy he's thinking about and any of the nonsense he used to get into office won't be met with passive acceptance or indifference. The alternative, which is just rolling over and accepting what's gonna happen without a peep, to me is careless. Let your voices be heard :manny:

fukk a protest he didn't even do shyt yet and he siding wit a lot of Obama polices.. Only fagets immigrants and women at these thangs.. I got a job and a family to guide and protect life goes on..

:snoop: You naive to think this is only gonna affect "fagets", "immigrants", and women. If you think Giuliani as Attorney General among the other racist POS in his cabinet, and a red Supreme Court isn't gonna potentially violate many civil liberties, think again. And no he didn't "do shyt yet" but it's during this time that he's mulling over policies and setting things in motion.

i find it funny cause the people who ask "what's the point" are the ones who sit on their ass all day and never protest or show concern about anything

i went to a protest and it ain't a game, people are legitimately angry and concerned out here as they should be

exactly

the protests are meant to put pressure on Trump to denounce his previous rhetoric and show that even though he can pass laws against minorities easily, it wont be accepted

Because it's pointless. Black Lives Matter, Black Guns Matter. etc. etc. will accomplish. Nothing.

The point isn't that "something" necessarily will be accomplished. It's about letting your voice be heard and letting the establishment know that this is still a democracy and that people are feeling less safe in this country, so don't fukk shyt up and think people just gonna take it.

And it's that defeatist/roll over and do nothing because nothing matters sentiment which partly led to this mess in the first place. People think their voices aren't important, so they don't go out and vote, they don't voice their opinions on anything anywhere, and they don't do shyt but just think everything's futile and that things will eventually sort itself out. Don't expect to win if you never enter the race in the first place

I honestly think he's only "siding" to calm people down. I'm sure when he's in office shyt will go down as planned

If people really cared that much then 50 million people would be leaving their jobs to protest on Washington and demand the election process be restarted with more suitable candidates.

The only time I'd say protesting is bad is when people destroy their own neighborhoods. If you gonna do a violent protest at least go somewhere else in the city.

But who is listening? Do you really think politicians who are deeply set in their ways and concerned about their reelection are going to be like ":ohhh: you know what? They're right!!"

Let's be reality here.

Yes.. Politicians are not gonna freely invite unrest from the population for a myriad of reasons. They're not gonna do a complete 180 but they can compromise and not just "act along party lines" as they say

The problem is that this 'unrest' is totally harmless. A bunch of people screaming and carrying signs...wow. They'll leave and things will go back to normal. Meanwhile the police just made a stack in overtime :mjlol: how effective!

W/e. My issue is these protests are filled with people who gave zero fukks about black people's plight. Now they fear their spots about to get blown so they're going to take action now. Ironically, loop black people in their shyt. As far as black people since being here, business as usual.
