Why Do People Knock English Majors

There are so many fields English majors can go into.

Technical Writing
Publishing
English majors are great prep for law/business school
Journalism
Copywriting
Marketing
I know of a lot of English majors go into sales and do very well.
Event Planning
Teaching (Even though down in Florida it is becoming competitive as fukk)

Lot of English majors are not this far forward thinking... they just pick it as something to do rather than as a tool to get a career.

I blame the school systems for not getting kids more career focused though.

None of those fields are going to start you off at even 75k a year. Thats why English majors are looked down upon.
