I read this post nodding butThis too. Extroverts take it as a blow to their ego when people don't acknowledge their existence. They have to have all eyes and ears on them and stay showing out. I'm an introvert, so I stay in my mind, and hate having too much attention on me....and ESPECIALLY hate having my thoughts interrupted by corny motherfukkers who wanna strike a convo. Most of the people who try striking convo never even come with a topic that interests me, like they'll come up talking about basketball or some shyt as if they assume I follow the shyt, only sports I follow are combat sportsI also tend to have a general distrust of people who talk too fukking much, and especially those who ask a lot of questions

as soon as I read the bolded. Don't know how many times I've been pissed someone ruined my train of thought and fukked up my internal convo.code for we just don't know enough about you to gossip or hold over your headThey want to me take a take on a new role at work and say, "I'm too quiet",you need to be more "loud"![]()

I'm the same way. I despise small talk and mostly keep to myself listening to music and podcasts at work. I'm generally the opposite in my free time though.
What I gather is that they can't read you and assuming you're even listening to their chronic oversharing, you know more about them than they do about you. The latter actually works to my advantage because I've avoided a lot of questionable people. I swear oversharers will tell you damn near all of their weaknesses and hangups without even catching what just happened.
