No disrespect to the profession but how is being a rapper new or different :stopitslime:

I’m sure every nikka from your hood already thought his choices were selling drugs, slimin shyt, or rapping.

Isn’t that just reinforcing the point that nikkas from those environments don’t have many options?

I’m just sayin :hubie: I personally know nikkas who got out that environment and actually took a different route and they don’t say that :patrice:

why is rapping referred to as a “different route”?

“Yo, like, I REALLY paved the way for nikkas like me to blow up in this type of environment… nikkas weren’t doing what I was doing until I blew up”

and the dude’s origin would be Brooklyn or Atlanta like :mindblown:

Bc most don't live the life they portray. They showed nikkas a different way. Instead of living your life and being a rapper you can make up your life story, fool millions and make bank doing it. They paved the way for suburban kids to profit off of a fake tough upbringing

Because they know the people they around and what they really mean is success.

"I had to become successful in order to show the people around me that success is possible."

I know people irl like this and who they are and the people they influence don't make music.

But if it weren't for their success in whatever path they went, and if not for them coming back and showing the people they grew up around it was possible, they may not have made it.

It's seems like that hip-hop is the most popular way the zeitgeist likes to express that sentiment
