I won't say I want them to be real so bad. But I think it's moronic to think we're the only intelligent life when you think about it from a logical standpoint. Most folks I know who fear it are folks who are super religious. It's really kind of funny how folks expose how fickle their faith is by being insecure about every and anything that might shake it a bit.
Of course, if they are intelligent and exist, they could take one look at how we have allowed religion and race to put us in such a mental bind even to this day and decide we aren't worth keeping alive.

I'd have to respectfully disagree with you here. The argument isn't the same. Extraterrestrial life isn't about finding some god like creature to worship or look up to. In fact, it's highly accepted in scientific circles that microbes will be the most we'll likely ever find due to the odds of being close to other advanced civilizations. That's hardly seeking out a greater being. We're far beyond microbe status.
Most folks believe in God because they need a crutch and they need comfort for their lives that they mentally can't handle any other way or they are exploiting folks through religion.

I hope they are and when they come , hopefully do the right thing and grant blacks the right to rule...its only fair...

That personally doesn't hype me up because I don't believe it to be likely. Doesn't mean they don't exist though. But all that aside, we humans have tired of ourselves, breh. Not across the board of course. But we are just plain tired of ourselves. We want some excitement. New beings would bring that. That's my personal take on it based on observation..
