True religions used to be made in the USA, so part of what you're paying is for the labor.
I haven't bought TRs since I left, so I assume they're still being made in the USA. But I know a lot of the jeans they sell at the outlet stores are made for outlet, and they may not be made in the USA (more like Mexico), and the quality is a lot cheaper.

Same reasons Gucci Bags, LV bags are all overpriced. They know it's a demand in the buyers, so they'll throw those prices out. Since they know people will be purchasing them.
