Dude only charges like $300... I've shot waaaaaaay too many indie videos & the ones the artists put on Worldstar dude never charges more then a couple hundred. Celebrities don't pay to put their videos on Worldstar either... :russ:

they're only paying in the thousands if it's in one of those featured boxes
which the majority of them aren't
they pay like 750

but I was looking at that the other day, and it doesn't seem like it's a good idea to put it on their unless you're established. an Independent Artist will have 10,000 views on worldstar, but then you click on their actually youtube video and it's only like 800 views. just seems like that money could be spent elsewhere

I don't even watch the music videos to songs by rappers I like, and I rarely if ever scroll past videos uploaded more than 2 days ago.

I thought to upload videos to worldstar shyt was free... :heh:

Nah, its not. If it has a ____ Submitted [i.e. user submitted, label submitted] etc that means its paid for. They changed the laws so you have to state whether something is a paid ad, same thing with tweets.

Right, I remember in like 2012/13 I was talking to this artist who submitted his video to worldstar and they was like "yo you gotta pay like x amount of money to be on here". Blew my mind that they actually charge for that shyt, they ended up putting up his video for free as like a Youth Talent of the Week thing or something which ended up being great promo because he blew up off of it and put out an album with DOOM this year but still its crazy that people actually pay money to put their whack ass videos on Worldstar because no one actually watches the videos that say [Label/User Submitted]

seems like a big waste of money, nobody watches it, gets 5-6 replies at best, and usually its from their homeboys hypin it up.... im sure that money can be allocated elsewhere i.e. mixing, production, sound etc.. :ohhh:
A lot of up and coming artists are dumb and don't have a clue on how to make it... that's why they'll waste that money getting on WorldStar instead of just focusing on making music that people outside of their circle would want to hear.

"Chief Keef got discovered on WSHH so we gotta get a video on there too!"

Then they think that's going to be their break... and the cycle continues
