Why do we even pay rent if squatters have more rights than renters?

crazy part is this only applies to privately owned houses.
if they tried to squat off grid somewhere in the wilderness and build a house and were discovered the government can come and demolish the building, put them in jail and tax them for it.

Just borrow a couple of pitbulls moderately trained by the owner, go on a vacation or stay at a hotel/relative's house, leave them alone in the house with the squatter for a few days.
