That war is what caused Germany to fall. If Hitler never fought Russia, who knows what type of world we might be in now :damn:
Right after the war, polls showed the majority of people understood Russia won the war.

A few decades later, this shifted somewhat.

And by the 90's, the majority of people believed the USA won the war.

American propaganda at work.

That was 80 years ago and the Russians didn't beat them-- the weather conditions did

The Russians beat them by incorporating the weather into their battleplan. Just lure your enemy deep into Russia by continuously retreating, all the while burning all forms of sustenance on the way. Eventually the bitter winter hits, and voìla, thousands of enemy soldiers dying from weather exposure, exhaustion, and starvation.

They did the same to Napoleon's army in the 1800s. The Nazis must have either completely forgotten about it or had some crappy historians in their war division.

Aw so yall think yall can jump a breh huh? :martin:
i don't care, it was 80 years ago!! :camby:
No they beat them

but yeah the weather, Hitler making decisions, and choking on the cannon fodder Russia was down to give was really what did it.

After Stalingrad People started to see that Germany wasn't invincible.

Nah the Russians definitely whooped that ass too :mjlol: that's really just the cliff notes version they feed people in grade school. Russia had time to re-posture and prepare after Greece forced Germany to come bail out the Italians.

Napoleon did that so hopefully nazi Germany ain’t have to go through that.

Hitler was gone crash out regardless

Ngl, its worth reading in the wiki article the guy dropped in here earlier. The Soviets probably pulled off one of the greater mass deception strategies in all of WWII.

It wasn't just the weather, it was entire unaccounted for mechanized divisions and disproportionate aviation support that ripped that push apart and ended with the Soviets rolling downhill at Berlin. Losing that army group's tanks and experienced leadership was right up there with Japan losing their aircraft carriers and elite fighter groups.

Damn how did you get that out of that?
Personally I think that lets say Germany never invaded Russia and that meant that the US never got in even though they got in because Japan invaded.

Then more than likely Palestine would be in Jordan today.

one thing the Isrealis are right about Palestine is a made up concept that never existed before the small hats got them partially out of the way.

When the Arab riots happened in '36 ( notice it's not the Palestian riots) they didn't have the concept of a separate country it was part of general Arab self determination.

Amazing to think how those two WW have shaped the reality the whole world still lives with, its a trip to think about the multiverse of different way ways things 'could have' played out for the better or worse.

Germany was probably going to lose anyway, but it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Hitlers stupid azz didn't fo after Stalingrad. The only reason he did it was some male ego sh!t because "Stalin" was in the name :snoop:

I often think about what would happen if…

1. Hitler got got the Atom bomb first
2. Soviets got it first
3 Soviet spies never got their hands on the designs from the Manhattan project.

We would be living different lives based on these scenarios maybe not living at all
