So this is an aspect of white supremacy I've noticed over the years. It started all the way back in college and has continued into the professional world. White people expect us to know and like sh*t they are into.

For example, a few years back I was at a dinner party with some cacs from work and they were talking about movies and TV shows they were into growing up. So one of them brought up "Friends". Now I had never seen an episode of this show and never had any desire to ever see it. When I said this, they couldn't believe it. The next 10 minutes was cacs quizzing me like a lab animal about white TV shows, movies, and songs they liked to see if I've ever heard of them or seen them. Most of this shyt was from the 80s. Now these cacs are roughly the same age as I was (late 80s born). So it confused me why they kept asking me about sh*t that came out either before we were born or when we were infants. Apparently the 1980s is some golden era of cac culture.

All in all, what I've learned is that white people expect us to know and appreciate white culture. Anything less and they think you are a zoo animal.
