:childplease: why are we acting like its cool for drake to make an album of aaliyahs left over songs that he only wants to himself? then to involve not one person that she worked with in life? shyt is disgusting.

:wtf:

“It’s not about me, and it’s not about 40, it’s really about her and her fans…and us just getting an opportunity to give you something that we feel is great,” the Young Money superstar said. “And you know, the people around her, everybody from her family to her old management and label, were just like, ‘If there’s anybody out who can do it right now, it’s you and 40.’

“And it was an honor to pull in some classic people, like anybody who used to work with Aaliyah that was essential in her career, we hope to have them involved,” he added.

:heh: adores her so much.

Yet, debuts a song out of the blue, spitting foul shyt along her angelic voice. :rudy:

And, people wonder why her "family" and close allies are against this desecration. :pacspit:

Like Cypher said, the 1st song we heard from Aaliyah in years but you put your voice 1st on the song. This is and was always about Drake's obession, he was more concerned with his love for Aaliyah then trying to make a song that would honor her and her fans. I mean Chris Brown disses? Rapping about your enemies? What does Aaliyah spirit got to with your lame RnB Beefs? Nothing.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Her parents have spoken out against the album.

Her brother has spoken out against the album.

Friends, people that actually knew her, have spoken out against the album.

Her collaborators have said that they're unfinished songs and as such, they shouldn't be fukked with because they're not sure why she decided to nevel release them.

Pretty sure that's why people are against it.

Plus who the fukk is drake to force himself over see this project and produce this album?

fukkin jewish herb is disrespectful end of story.

yall are acting like some butthurt flaming fakkits, & i hope everbody's need to have an "opinion" doesn't influence them to not release what woulda probably been a really dope ass record (Drake beats without him being able to cornball out on top of them).

You're right. fukk Aaliyah's parents, brother, friends and collaborators for acting like some butthurt flaming fakkits, preventing Drake from releasing an album full of unreleased vocals of someone he never met that will be the chorus to songs where he's dissing R&B stars.

Aaliyah's family need to have an opinion about their deceased daughter/sister's unreleased music is fukking the game up.

SINY!!
Everytime Timbaland has disappeared from music for a while, he usually comes back with something crazy. Dudes like him, Premier, & Dr. Dre have lasted this long because they fell back for periods of time. This is why a lot of dudes producing now usually go unchecked after a couple of years (they run their sounds into the ground/dont evolve)

The fact is a lot of teenagers (lets face it, this is the target audience) arent fully aware of what Aaliyah meant to us......her family probably feels that the best way to go about it is to have someone whos hot at the moment involved in the project.

IMO.....it seems like Aaliyah's fam....having lost faith in Tim and Missy threw them in the bushes.

Lets also keep in mind.....that posthumous albums are hit or miss (unused vocals usually dont see the light of day for a reason)

The only family that's given the OK is her uncle, the guy that owns the label and will make money off the project.

Her mom, pops and brother are against it.
