:mindblown: 99% of y'all wouldn't have much to take :yeshrug:

Unless y'all plan on being multi millionaires I don't see why y'all keep bringing it up in marriage threads :why:

 Thats where youre wrong. How much you make is irrelevant. Whats yours is yours, and just because you and your wife are no longer together should
not entitle her to half your shyt.

They don't really know anything about alimony. They just want to complain. Most people don't receive/pay alimony. It's only awarded in 15% of divorces and it's usually when one person makes a lot more than the other person. lool

They also just want the woman to leave destitute even if they was paying half the mortgage. Don't get married breh (so you can avoid alimony that you probably wouldn't pay anyway, you never have to worry about losing a house that you actually did help pay for, and we don't have to hear you constantly bytching).

:manny: The less you have the more youll be left hurting after the state sponsored robbery called divorce...

A guy with a million bucks ,two homes and 4 cars will be left with 300k a house and a car which will suck but he can build from there

A guy who makes 40k with one home and one car will be left homeless, riding the bus and living back at his moms....

I think the op was referring more to pre-nups in general and the division of assets that result from divorce and not just alimony.

We all know damn well what the typical divorce settlement looks like, so lets not act like the avg divorced women is getting taken to the cleaners. :beli:

Why such hostility towards pre-nups though?
Oh thats right women don't typically marry down when it comes to wealth. :beli:

Nothing that you had before the marriage is considered in the divorce.

Everything that was made during the marriage should be split up and given to each spouse.

If a guy hates women THAT much, he should switch teams. Always complaining about how dumb, slutty, money hungry and undeserving women are, then date your own. :russ:

First and foremost, I don't have hostility towards a prenup (your emotional behind negged me in the other thread without even reading all my post...typical coli male).

In every single prenup thread, I have maintained that if there is a prenup, both people should have lawyers and the prenup should be done early on in he engagement (that way nothing can be contested at the divorce). Also, most people marry on the same level (hence the reason that only 15% of men actually pay alimony after a divorce).

Please provide me with a credible source of what the average divorce settlement looks like because I don't see too many divorces and the ones I have seen only resulted in the man paying child support or something like that and them splitting stuff in the household (which I'm sure they both contributed to buying...ie someone got the living room furniture, someone got the furniture in the den etc).

Can you please give me one logical reason why? Assuming both spouses work.

as i always say in these threads, some people would like to use prenups to protect their retirement funds. just because you make 40K and your wife makes around 40K as well doesn't mean you guys have the same amount of assets. if you come in with a big retirement fund you contributed to and she never contributed to hers, divorcing could literally fukk up your future lifestyle (ESPECIALLY if you're not rich...)
