Yo I'm not even from Cali but I know blacks out there was ALWAYS a minority. nikkas be acting like LA was Atlanta or Memphis, then the big bad Mexicans came and ran everybody out.

Foreal. I think the frequency of so many movies, shows, etc being based on Black life in LA had outsiders believing it was a Mecca when it never really was. The closest it ever got was the 70's, back then you could of made a legit argument. Its been a slow steady decline ever since.

Yall missed the point, LA was never a "black city" but the black culture that exported from LA and Cali in general has influenced different parts of our culture for a long time. I don't expect people to get it who not from Cali...
