And I don't mean the question in a disrespectful way.

I seen the Stone Cold appreciation thread and it brought back memories, I havent watched wrestling since the beginning of grade 9 (2004).

But when I did up to then it was my life. I guess I stopped watching it because I caught on to how fake it was or maybe some of my fav wrestlers started exiting (I think). I guess around the I stopped watching it was the John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton era. They were boring, no flash or drama to them.

I remember the WCW merged with the WWE. And there was TNA back then too. Is WWE the only wrestling organization out?

Back then they had Raw on Mondays and Smackdown on Thursday, how is it now?

The King and JR were the best commentators were the best.

So why do you still watch it?

Btw, these were my top 10 - no particular order

Kane
Sting (Kane and him scared me lol)
Undertaker
The Rock
Stone Cold
Kevin Nash
The Hardy Boyz
Scott Hall aka Razor Ramone
X-Pac
Shawn Michaels

Where they at now?

I don't watch on a regular basis any more, because as I got older, the interest faded a bit.. but it mainly had to do with a drop off in quality. I'm still a fan. I'll stream or download a PPV if it has a huge match on the card, and I always go to event when they come to my city.. and of course I pretty much become a full time watcher again during WrestleMania season.

The reason I still am a casual WWE viewer, is because from about age 3 to 18.. Wrestling was my favorite thing in the world.. something you have that much passion for never goes away completely.. and therefore I think I'll always watch in some capacity.

Because there's nothing else on during the timeslot RAW comes on. Once I realized RAW and PPV can be streamed online, why not?

It sucks how badly Smackdown fell off though, at times during the brand extension Smackdown felt like a entirely different promotion than RAW. RAW was about fukkery where's Smackdown was more about the wrestling. Sometimes Smackdown even was putting on a better show. I remember one of those Wrestling magazines even had a article about this back in 05/06.

Also back then I wasn't able to watch the PPV's, had to wait until Monday afternoon at the internet cafe to go on the wrestling sites to see had happened at the PPV. Today being able to stream PPV has enhanced my wrestling viewing experience :blessed:

Also being on TSC has made wrestling more entertaining, as I often wonder how other wrestling fans feel about the product.

I've only watched like 4 shows in 3 years. These nikkas are boring as fukk. Wrestling is fukked up too cause even if fans love you they'll bury you just because lmao. Tsc is funny as hell though so I come everyday.

The business....the crowd reactions...the character/story progression...the pay-offs.

It's interesting to see what the writers come up with to sell the guys and the stories and whether the crowd buys into it or shyts on it. It's the only show that's totally interactive. If the crowd loves something and we love something, it shows. If we're "ehhh" about something, the crowd shows that they don't give a fukk and are vocal about it. :pacspit:

It's also good because there are no re-runs. No weeks off. The stories intertwine and progress forever and then call back shyt from years ago. There are unwritten rules and logic that only exists in this particular world. When it's bad, it's still interesting because we'll hate on it, but watch to see how the company writes itself out of the hole. :gladbron:

When it's good, we're able to suspend belief and mark out the way we did when we were kids...and sometimes, it's that good. Those are the moments that make it all worthwhile. :ehh:

The only thing that I dislike these days is that we're a bit TOO "in-the-know", so it makes it harder to be caught off-guard, but when we are... :banderas:

I'm 25 now and I've watched it since I was born, have vivid memories of it since the age of 2 of Hulk Hogan and I have always loved it.

This Pro Wrestling shyt just has too many facets to enjoy. The storytelling, the theatrics, the audience interaction, the technical wrestling, the psychology, the acrobatics, the fukkery, the hardcore violence, the compelling moments as well as the funny times. It's like a sports spectacle and a struggle between good and evil wrapped up into a theatric play where the crowd plays the role of an audience at a legit fight event. So not only is it fun watching on TV, and talking about this shyt with friends and TSC, but when you're there in person you play a role in the show that's unfolding live that day.

Even today, with the storytelling being :flabbynsick: most of the time, I still like to tune in to see what the guys do in the ring and how shyt unfolds from week to week.

As for these guys:

Kane - Corporate Character now, he's Triple H and Stephanie's management lackey
Sting - I hear he's alive and probably gonna make an appearance with WWE soon for the first time.
Undertaker - Was wrestling occasionally on Smackdown! Now he only wrestles once a year at Mania.
The Rock - Biggest movie star in the world right now... you included him rhetorically I assume :mjpls:
Stone Cold - Owns a ranch and does reality TV on CMT as well as the Steve Austin Show podcast, which is often a good listen.
Kevin Nash - Occasional actor, collects big paychecks in WWE from time to time cause he's HHH buddy.
The Hardy Boyz - Matt Hardy is fat, washed up and just got into a domestic abuse thing with his new wife whom everyone says is a whore.
Jeff Hardy is drugged out, washed up and idk if he's still at TNA or if he was too drugged up even for them.
Scott Hall aka Razor Ramone - Was almost dead but has made a great recovery thanks to DDP and now manages his son on the indy scene.
X-Pac - Just drifting in the indy scene and tearing his a$$hole open from time to time.
Shawn Michaels - Hosts some hunting show and makes frequent apperances on WWE TV. People wanted him to wrestle Daniel Bryan at Mania XXX but he won't do it I guess.

I watch cause it's fun. At times it's nonsensical and even a bit boring, but overall it's fun. Plus I respect the level of skill and dedication it takes to do what they do.
