As someone in his 40's you gotta ease your way back in. I was hooping with my 20 year old son and I legit pulled an ass muscle (apologies for the visual my brehs).

i saw some old heads playing handball earlier this summer in NYC.
there was a 2v2 match going on and other old heads were in the cut
waiting to get next. saw allot of older people power walking, stretching
and biking on the boardwalk. that shyt is inspiring as fukk. i'm not gonna
front, there was a point during the beginning/middle part of the pandemic
when i would get up out of my office chair and parts of my body just didn't
want to bend. it's not good a look. after that i made it a point to not let that
happen again.
back in the day i had an office job doing graphics and most of the day i was
just sitting on my ass. welp, i started to have lower back issues & numbness
in my feet. my hips were getting fukked up too. so i started putting ankle weights
in my backpack. on my breaks i would power walk around the block and use the
park seats as steps. my co-workers thought i was crazy but...they were :flabbynsick:
so i paid them no mind. within a couple of weeks i was back to normal &
and kept up the habit until i left.

:whew:
