Why does anyone think that life is a gift?

Random thread. What makes life a gift when so much negativity occurs on this planet and life is a struggle for happiness? Murder, pain, rape, racism and violence in general happens often in this world yet it's a gift? Majority of people are useless and don't really care about anyone else outside of a select group of people (family or any friends they have) so caring about your fellow man is useless when they don't really care about you. A lot of life is spent working and trying to find true happiness. By the time it's reached if it's reached much of life has been passed by. Childhood is really the only time to enjoy life without worries.

What makes life a gift to all of you who believe in this? Do you enjoy the struggle?

We don't have to be here. If you take killing and other behaviors off the table and focus at at yourself you realize that in addition to no one else can experience what you do. No one will fight harder for you than you. No one will care more for you than you.

A slip of someone's hand will cause them to crash into you. Millions of ways to die outside your body and billions of ways to die from inside. Life is a collection of experiences gathered piece by piece and second by second. The deck is stacked against everyone each and every day, each and every second. Last year your heart beat 30+ million times with no lubrication, upgrades or replacement.
