preservation of marriage, lineage, wealth and religious beliefs; you are not even allowed to have your father's last name instead your last name is based on the region you are born into. i.e.
Out of wedlock is stigmatized they take it on the b*stard instead of the parents.
I wonder how b*stards last names would look like if they implement this in the U.S.
