Why does it seem like baseball is making a concerted effort to push the idea that WBC > WS?

And I think that's just about for every sport.

People still don't understand that Giannis CRIED LIKE A BABY after winning BRONZE in the Eurobasket and said it's his greatest accomplishment.

Mind you he dropped a 50 ball to win an NBA championship a few years earlier.

Folks with no connections internationally can't understand the feeling.

But I see how much Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, ect take those international tournaments and I know in many cases it just means more.

The competition USA baseball has to defeat in the WBC - and what any NBA team has to deal with in the postseason - is considerably tougher than what USA basketball has to deal with, even now.

Half the teams the US plays in the WBC are literally plumbers and electricians. GB and Italy were full of minor leaguers and bench guys. The US made the championship and beat literally one legit team the whole tournament.


France, Serbia, Argentina, Canada, Spain are filled with top flight professionals and hall of famers. Hell even the 2nd tier teams like Lithuania and Greece can kick your ass if you don’t one correct.

Team USA in baseball are just frauds and chokers, nothing to do with the quality of the teams they are playing. Basketball is 10 times more popular than baseball world wide.

Venezuela has a MVP (Acuna) playing in his prime and a few other All-Stars. The DR's lineup was more stacked than the US.
