If an American woman has the option to choose between 2 men, one who $300k a year versus one who makes $50k a year, all other things being equal she'll choose the $300k a year man.

Average men here and average women here, you can argue about the degree to which a woman is willing to hold up her end of the relationship contract. The point I'm making is an American woman is looking for the come up, just like a foreign woman is looking for the come up.
