Why does no one talk about Jamal Lewis' 2,000 yard season?

Word it's crazy that you could have a 2k season and still get forgotten fast as fukk
And hell yeah he used to move his feet like the fukking roadrunner
That's what I remember most about his running style/I was biting that move heavy jahahahaa*

Wonder what a rb like that would have done in today's game with touches being managed better and rb not getting ground into dust*
A lot of these guys are rhythm backs too. Probably not been as good.

I'll always remember that year becasue I went into the ESPN night game down by a ridiculous amount and I had Aaron Brooks and Joe Horn that night. Brooks threw 5 tds, and 4 went to Horn :banderas:

also the night Horn did this

not to derail the thread...:whoa: carry on

Breh...the randomness of the celebrations in those days.....fuuuuck I miss that shyt.

Ehhh it's that what if/woulda/coulda/shoulda scenario
Game just keeps on rolling
It more about who got it now and who's gonna get it in the future(nikkas like gurley/henry/fournette)

Even though those jim brown/herschel walker/bo jackson/marcus dupree/eric dikkerson type athletes gonna get talked about forever jahahahaa

Aye if you just look at the physical stats on Jamal Lewis you gotta respect it
As I've heard it put in southern terms
The boy was a real HOSS* jahahahaa

Jamal Lewis was a beast. I wonder if most people would even remember to put him in their 10 top?

Another question...with the way NFL teams are being built nowadays do you think there will ever be another 2,000 yard rusher in a 16 game season? Teams are running less and less....teams are using multiple running backs. To get to 2,000 yards you pretty much have to average over 20 carries a game, at 6 yards per carry, and play all 16 games.

i think there will be. a lot has to fall in place for it to happen tho

the back will have to:

-stay healthy
-be the clear-cut best RB on his team so there's no platooning
-not come off the field on 3rd downs
-have a good run-blocking line that stays healthy
-have decent WRs who will keep defenses honest
-have some soft defenses on the schedule

and his team has to be decent enough to where they have leads in the second half of games and need to control the clock

The Truth
Looks like he ran so fast because he ran on his toes

Thats how I was taught to run, minimize the amount of your actual foot on the ground and keep your legs pumping...

But to do it at that height/weight, :wow:

That shyt could tear the average mans leg up that size

i agree its possible...but damn thats a lotta "ifs" :heh:

i think we'll see a QB pass for 6000 yards before we see another RB rush for 2000 yards.
