Why does someone always say "white people do it too", when we talk about the black community?

The problem is WE do.


If you fail a test you don't go looking for everyone else that failed and say "see they failed too". You still failed the test and you need to fix that. You're not gonna fix anything talking about everybody else failing with you.

very few things bother me on the coli and this is certainly one of them.

We can never discuss Black issues without white people being injected into the conversation, but if a Black person is killed by a police and someone comes in the thread saying "white people get killed by police too" all hell will break loose.

Black people may not realize or don't want to accept that we have a major inferiority complex. We need validation from white folks. White is looked at as better....we as a race use terms like good hair, pretty complexion (regarding black and mixed folks with lighter skin having better complexions), etc. Some of this stems from the slavery days and the fact that this country abide by the European standards of beauty. Its just recently where white women want bigger azzes and not afraid to parade them. Back in the day...the flat azz long skinny waistline was SEEN as the more attractive female body.

Its not just looks either. Its the cultural differences and other shyt. When we as black folks do something seen as socially inappropriate, we say shyt like white folks or Hispanic folks do it too....just for validation because of the inferiority complex.

Well it goes both ways.

*Discuss black issues*
"White people do it too." Some people agree. Too many conversations pretend certain things are isolated to black populations.

*Discuss some black issue*
"But had it been a white man..."

I mean if one side gets to bring it up, everyone should, or knock it off entirely. The generalizations and hypothesizing gets so strong that anyone who tries to remind folks it ain't
an insular issue, suddenly folks wanna get mad.

Be on the same day, too, possibly minutes apart sometimes. I saw in another thread someone claim that no one ever complains about white business as much as they do
black business, pretending like Yelp, BBB, and other places don't exist debunking that bullshyt.

Some folks just want it to be one way.
