Because the way they do it is stupid and easily lends itself to the rigged allegations . Each team gets an assortment of codes or some bullshyt like that because you got all these stupid ass odds. If you did a true lottery with one ball per team it would be easy to air it and it would be a fun watch as well. The first lottery had Stern picking an envelope out of a giant sphere and people said they froze the envelope to give it to NY. Doesn't' matter what they do people will say it was rigged.
