Cause he took a bunch of cast off players who were borderline out of the league ( Pacman, Terrence Newman ).players who were turning into underachievers ( Maliluga and Mays ) and made them integral parts of a top flight defense.

Cause on the defensive ends his players really play hard for him.

Cause he brings that tough no nonsense spitting chewing tobacco on your foot attitude, and low key all the sports media c@cs feel like you need a tough disciplinarian white guy to come in and get these rowdy negro's to be focused on the football field...

Problem is...every place is not Detriot...which absolutely needs someone to be tough because the inmates run the asylum...Zimmer would work at a place like that...but somewhere else...nah...he wouldn't be a good fit
