I doubt he would get rich from it, as he only owns 1/3 of it, with Jay-Z and Biggs owning the other 2. The only person who would maybe give him a decent amount for his share is Hov, but Jay seems to not care anymore after trying the first time.

The masters of RD aren't worth that much...It's more about the sentimental value...

It's funny because it shows how little you know about the situation.
Jay offered Dame quite a bit to get the rights back, because thats Jay's baby. Jay wants it so bad, so for Jay personally its worth more than money. Its funny you come in her acting like some kind of intellectual when you don't even know what you are talking about.
Cause he loves Jay-z, he would rather be broke than not having any connections to him.
According to Forbes RD gives 100k per year, Jay wanted to exchange it for the rest of his masters (allegedly) worth 50-100ms next year (not so much back then).
Probably Jays nicest move thus far, buying Dame/Biggs shares selling them to Def Jam, becoming president of Def Jam and negotiating back all his masters, publishing etc for 2014.
