"Welcome to the Terrordome" is easily one of the best hip-hop songs ever made

I think Fear of a Black Planet, when you consider the album as a whole (the theme, the sequencing, the production, the context, etc.) is arguably the best hip-hop album ever

Bruh, I been sayin that shyt since I was in junior high :old:

So much personal history and knowledge connected with that song for me. Everything to my pops rockin the original sample, to watchin Tyson walk into the ring to the shyt. I was engulfed in that Fear tape. Would read along to the sheet music with that soundscape............It was like being in another world but the cats providing the journey had the same skin color as yours and you knew EXACTLY what they was sayin, like the shyt was written specifically for you and your entire fam to hear, share, and pass on, man........Even waaaaaaaay back then that's how I felt about the music as a kid, POWERFUL fukkIN MUSIC.

:wow:

I'm not big on political rap, I'm not a fan of Chuck D's flow, and Flav is corny and nothing but a hype man. These beats sound dated AF. I fukk with some 80s rappers like G Rap, Rakim, Slick Rick, LL, KRS but I just can't get into these dudes.

Whenever me and my people's talk hip hop, I get the :stopitslime: face from them a lot when I say Chuck is easily what all who think of being an MC should strive for. Mic presence and commanding voice and low key, lyrics for days
