Why doesn't the day 1/entourage mentality apply more for normal brehs?

When rappers/athletes make it they usually pull a couple of underachieving old friends up with them to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
Simply knowing this dude yielded a ROI.

Why don't normal people with competent friends do the same when they come up?
I have multiple friends who have businesses, real estate investments, hustles. They tell me AFTER the fact or maybe sometimes before the fact when it's just an idea
But even then they just telling me. Never have any of them said "hey, I got 5 duplexes....I'm ah just give you 1 since you my day 1"
The fact I know these dudes don't mean I'm getting a piece of shyt :dahell:. If I get in on it I'm have to bring something to the table
The main difference is none of us were bum dudes sitting around hoping one of our friends would turn into a breathing lottery ticket. But still it would be nice if we moved like the jews and asians in terms of pooling our moves and resources

a friend making moves who didn't offer to hold my hand and get me involved from the gate motivated this :sadbron:

A lot of people have very limited mentalities and raging insecurity so want to get ahead and not let anyone in on how they're doing it.

Its always seemed a bit dumb to me because I used to put a lot of people on if something was cracking as its far more fun when everyone eats and no is considered a leech. Thing is jealousy is a bish and people always end up seeming to want whats on your plate if they mismanage their come up and that leads to complications.

Its a fine line, you've got to know how to walk it and who's worth it but success/money makes people act real funky sometimes...

Maybe they don't fukk with you like that? Do you have anything built on your own that shows them you are capable of handling what they give you? Or are you the dude who can't get popping but you party to death. Everyone in my circle of friends can't handle the same responsibilities

I think the average breh who puts in a lot of time and energy as well as having the discipline to make such moves, respects a person more if they come from similar backgrounds and have a work ethic that parallels theirs.

Or, they might be true Day 1s because they friendship is much deeper than any personal accomplishments.

Above the fray.
OP

Regular people, even those who've achieved success, are not in the position to lift up other people.

Likely his longtime friends had the same drive and discipline to carve out a productive life for themselves, and they can network and help each other land opportunities
. But pro athlete has rare athletic ability that his friends don't, so the only thing they have in common is that they grew up together. Lives and earning power are different. If they are forward thinking, association/resources of a pro athlete can help them learn trade skills to make their own money, and not be a hanger on.

The bolded is why they don't fukk with you like that. Why would someone that's making moves fukk with a nikka that's still looking to rappers and athletes for anything other than entertainment.

The sad reality is you're probably a bum ass nikka and you should stay at the bottom where you belong :manny:
