Why doesn't WWE just make Reigns or Cena the corporate champ?

They seemed dead set on having someone play the hand picked "corporate champ." Started with Orton against the Shield, then Rollins (who was actually good), now KO. Why not just take the guy that everyone already associates with being the corporate guy and actually make him the corporate guy? Hell they can even have the corporate champ say, I'm the corporate champ because 1) the ladies love me 2) the kids love me 3) the smarks hate me and 4) I sell the most merch.

At this point in his career, that wouldn't do anything for Cena. Turning him heel was a hot topic before 2016 but now that he's basically part-timing and become one of the top workers in the company it doesn't really matter anymore, especially when he's the old guard and its the new guard that should be getting these opportunities

But yeah, the question is and has been for almost 2 years now why Reigns is still face and they don't go The Rock route with him. Vince and co are deadset on keeping him face so your guess is as good as everybody's

Honestly the concept of a "corporate champion" is played out. I'm when the boss characters do the "this one guy is who we want representing the company" when realistically you should have the whole roster or at least 70% represent the company so why single out one at this point?
