I invited some of my American friends to a Nigerian party and they were offered Peppered Snail, at first these dudes acted like they were given human flesh :mjlol:. Eventually i managed to convince them to try it and they actually liked it.

This is what peppered snail looks like by the way.

Clicked on the spoiler and ummmm yeah, I'm not eating that sh!t. Looks like someone puked their vegetable soup over top Amazonian leeches and put toothpicks in it to make it more presentable. No way in the world. This is one of those moments when I'm glad to be an American. :mjpls:

Americans arent too adventurous with their stomachs. Just like most people in world to some degree :manny: like I lived in America for 24 years before i ever dared to taste "meat loaf". But american gastronomy tend to be on the safe side with eveything they dont know. But they abuse the fukk out of the things they are used to because they are safe to them.

Things that always baffled me that the common american doesnt eat

  1. Conch :banderas:
  2. Goat meat :ohlawd:
  3. Yams :wow:
  4. Malangas :noah:
Hell it's only in the last 20-25 years that they started eating avocados. :russ: Their plantains craze is still in it's infancy and they only like the sweet shyts anyway :scust:

BUt i must give them props for the way they perfected potatoes, tho. Growing up i rarely ate popatoes and when it did it was either boiled or fried potatoe slices. American cook potatoes in so many different ways it always amazes me. French fries, Potatoe salad, Mashed potatoes, boiled and seasoned potatoes, hash browns and the list goes on and on. To someone who grew up in America there is nothing amazing about this but to me it's like :ohhh:

Why does it baffle ya'll that people in the US don't eat foods that are more traditional to where you and your families are from :dwillhuh: We eat the foods we're accustomed to just like everyone else in the world eats the foods they are accustomed to. Wh-why dont Americans eat snail? Because we didnt grow up eating it :what:
