Why don't blacks stan Russell Wilson a bit more

Last year during the playoff run, a lot of my family members (people who were stanning Cam Newton, Mike Vick, RGIII, etc) hadn't even heard of Russell Wilson as he was making his way through the playoffs. "He's black?" the would ask.

This year, reading the Coli, RWIII is the least talked about of all the black quarterbacks even though he may end up being the best.

It's not about his wife either, people still support RGIII.

Is it because he plays in Seattle?

- BTW, I am not saying every black fan should support every black QB, but given what people are actually doing, the lack of Wilson stanning is interesting

Believe it of not, black people don't just stan QBs just because they are black. Him playing in Seattle makes him tougher to follow, they just don't a large fanbase outside of the city. A lot of black dudes on here hate RG3, Cam and VIck. Some because they are c00ns and some because they just don't like them as much as another QB. Black men are incredibly loyal to a lot of white QBs. Go to any barbershop over the past 10 years...dudes ride harder for the Mannings, Brees, and Brady than most white people I know. I have two black co-workers that are Cowboys fans and they defend Romo to no end.

but Fair question by OP. Real football fans know about Russell Wilson and respect his skill level. Dude can ball with the best of the young qbs. if they can't see that then their football opinion shouldn't count.

I don't get that either. I think it's Wilson's demeanor. Kaep fits the stereotype better.
