I just went to ScHoolboy Q's concert in San Francisco yesterday, and I was one of about 15-20 black people in the place. The rest were White and Asian. I have no problems with them, but I hate it when other cultures, especially from sheltered backgrounds act rap the word nikka during the set.

What are your thoughts on concerts, and why black people seem to not attend them? What are your thoughts on other cultures saying "nikka" at concerts?

From all the concerts I've been too.. I've examined if you're not drake Cole k dot or some trap rapper, blacks don't come out. I don't know why though.

Went to a Q concert in Phoenix and had the same experience. I did some digging and found an interview where he basically ok'ed cacs saying 'nikka' at his shows:

I still like his music but I don't think rappers should encourage this at their shows. Or in any context for that matter.

Maybe depends on the city...every rap show I ever been to in stl, from curren$y to krit to boosie to ross to jay z to wayne, have been predominantly black. ..only exceptions I can think of are a tech n9ne/slaughterhouse show and an action Bronson show i went to that me and my people were some of the only black folks there...at the slaughterhouse joint Royce spotted our ass in the crowd and chopped it up with us after their set and was like "I could tell you nikkas weren't prepared for the type of crowd tech brings out :mjlol: "...same thing with shows I've been to in Chicago and atl (where I try to plan trips to catch shows that don't come to the crib )...but these are all towns that have big black populations. ..just never personally experienced the "black folks don't go to rap concerts" stuff

concerts are the main way that black people support rappers.

yall are just going to the wrong shows.

only concerts i attend where the audience is predominately white, are the '90s legacy acts that can still do their own tours without sharing the bill with a bunch of other big names. but these are still acts that drew mostly black crowds in their heyday.

yall just checkin for the wrong rappers if youre fishing for a black crowd.
