He knew what he was up against coming in, veteran flacco, veteran pickett, people saying Shedeur should have got his draft spot. Then a path was cleared for him. Like I said, I wouldn't expect anyone to go into the NFL as a QB and have it figured out but he knew his job was in jeopardy if he performed bad and people would be calling for Shedeur.
He's a victim of mismanagement if we're being honest but Stefanski needed wins to keep his job so he got Flacco to compete when he should be there to help Dillon and Shedeurs development. I'm not sold on Shedeur being great because the raiders defense is hot garbage and we'll see what he does when he runs into a competent defense that takes that rollout away and he has to pocket pass.
