we used to smoke up, drink and play the shyt outta burnout takedown and revenge.

going super fast destroying other cars while high and drunk....
then after you on a run and destroy a couple cars every1 like "Ohhhhhh" and then "OOOOHHHHH"

those were the days....

The racing genre is definitely pointed to more realistic feels today but that shyt gets boring.

The Ghetto of Oz
cuz EA published it. they tend to do that with franchises people actually want

Split/Second was closest, and apparently the Criterion Games-developed Need for Speed games got that feel but there's nothing out there quite like Burnout Revenge (didn't like that open world Paradise game myself)

Paradise failed to capture the essence of burnout

Road Rash was another one of those type of games that disappeared in time

Not sure if it'll be good or not, but looks like they're trying to be a spiritual successor to Road Rash.

exactly. my thing is, everything is 'open world' but the reality is they are open 'city' and every race looks and feels the same.

Cruis'N World was my favourite racing game for years cuz, at the time, graphically it looked amazing, it took you on a world tour, and was fun as hell to play with all the flippin around and shyt. Burnout captured that same vibe and modernized it. raced through the jungle, through the snow, and could fukk people up along the way. now we stuck with simulation racers that only people who go hard for the genre can truly get in to
