I watched a few videos online and it is all excuses.

They do it in europe,

Even in poorer ex-communist countries.

I haven't watched the video yet but my first guess is cost....that would be expensive

And the rebuttal is cost benefit

But companies only care about the cost part of that equation.....cause unless they can find some way to charge you more to recoup that they do not give a fukk

you post a picture of london, but new york city has underground power lines, manhattan is all undeground dating back to the early 1900s. The Great White Hurricane of 1888: The Storm That Put NYC's Wires Underground

and across the 5 boroughs 86% of electricity is delivered through underground lines.

it's not like all of england is underground.
There are 4,500 miles of overhead electricity transmission lines in England and Wales. This contrasts with just over 900 miles of underground cables. ‘Undergrounding’, the replacement of overhead cables with underground cables, is used in limited circumstances, such as in nationally designated landscapes. There have been calls for an increase in undergrounding. However, the government has pointed to several issues, including the higher cost of underground cables.

Sooo when you need to service them, you gotta dig them up right? Seems labor intensive or am I overthinking the process of servicing underground power lines?

Who knows.

But it's big ass cables bottom of the ocean since the days of the telegraph, right?

And Gas lines run underground without constant concern of digging them up just like water lines.
