It’s cold & snows both places
Both have a mass transit setup
Both are similar in real estate construction
NYC is the biggest city
Chicago is the 3rd biggest city

The only difference is real state cost. Chitown way cheaper

I saw on HGTV this dude bought a duplex on the nice side of town with the panoramic view and balconies for 750k. It was just built in 2018. For the same thing in NYC would be like 10 million

So what am I missing beside the killing field stuff?

they're happier in NY. :ld: Chicago cant offer them everything they're used to.
On the other hand, I wouldnt mind moving to BK based off my short trip there this winter. It seems easier for them to come here than vice versa but hey. :manny: Sometimes they be sick of that '6 months of cold' BS.

Forgive me...I don’t think I worded this properly. I meant in lieu of so many NYC people leaving town due to rising cost how come you don’t hear about people moving to Chicago like they do Down South?

Who in the hell want to move to Chicago:hhh:

My wife's brother is the only person I've ever known to move to that city....
His company offered him $120,000 a year, he made it 7 months and came RIGHT BACK :skip:

Most NYCers have connections to all the southern states on the eastern seaboard. We are about 2-3 generations separated from the great migration so we still have family in the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginias. It would more easier to transition to the south because many of us still have family in the south east and/or still frequent the south every other year so we are familiar with the lifestyle there.

I wouldnt fukk with Chicago just off the strength of how much worse the weather is.
