i remember reading somewhere that drake originally wanted phonte to be on thank me later but I think baby was like "who? nobody knows that nikka, he ain't gonna take up space on your album" and that was that. i think phonte was asked about it and was like "well he told me he wanted me on his album, but nothing every came of it so fukk it". he seemed more ambivalent about it than anything.

I don't know about the validity of this when Lil Wayne was on Get Back and Drake featured Phonte on Comeback Season.
It makes almost zero sense for even Birdman's pedophile ass not to have any idea who The man whose done beats for Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and his own artist, the man who is his most popular artist's inspiration, and the group he undoubtedly had to sign off a Wayne feature, are.

Little Brother had a deal with Atlantic back in the early 2000s. They just flopped in the mainstream. Pretty sad that Slum Village and Jurrasic 5 had more mainstream success than Little Brother, because Little Brother was nicer than both of them groups.
