you got to ask yourself, who really ever wants to own up to their mistakes and problems? self-victimization is an escape or denial. you'd have more power if you own up to things. the way i see it, it completes the cycle we all go thru when we're dealing with some type of conflict in our lives. to deny responsibility for your own problems (when it's truly your fault or when you have a certain amount of control over the situation) only makes the problem persist...

Because of the media. They make spectacles out of the most simple things and give attention and praise to individuals for the most simplistic concepts. Americans have a penchant for the dramatic. Also, the system itself has been setup to allow the state to make a profit from people playing victimization roles. Not to mention they also profit from victimizing individuals themselves. Individuals can also use the system as a victim to take revenge on individuals with malicious intent.

In conclusion, friend being a victim/feeling sorry for yourself is profitable to the state/corporations/businesses and also garners individuals alot of attention from other individuals. When it gets out of control though it can be used maliciously and drive some friends, so their death.

fukk'em man....I think that's one problem in this country. The conversations that need to be had, people are either too passive or too radical in their beliefs to have a civil discussion on. Nothing gets settled if you're scared of ruffling a few feathers.

Well American culture is based on entitlement. When one is unable to attain what he or she feels is owed then there must be an external force preventing them from attaining said goals and or desires. The result being a complete disregard to self accountability and ownership of one's problems.

In simple terms its easier to blame someone else for ya problems then face up to them.

Dawg people (including myself) have tried "hey brehs lets uplift each other" threads and they all failed. All I am trying to do here is get people to think about how the beliefs they take on might be holding them back
