Why has BDP and KRS become so underrated?

Ran "By All Means Necessary" back today for the first time in many years, album still fresh as hell. Beats still bang, rhymes and flows still nice, content still relevant to this day. Don't get nearly as much love as they should. Granted the only 80s legends that really get the respect they deserve are LL, Run-DMC, NWA and Slick Rick. Maybe Too Short. But all the 80s BDP albums still go hard to this day, don't know why they don't get more love.

Because them 90s albums minus a couple of songs was dogshyt

Criminal Minded, By Any Means still get played by me. Still love those albums and also KRS greatest hits too.

Dude is in my Top 2 GOAT's.

So I never thought he was underrated. But a lot of new fans act like Hip Hop didn't exist before 1996, so that might be why.

We got plenty dudes on here that act like it ain't exist before 2010, or actively hate anything from before then, so it's sadly unsurprising :yeshrug:
