The more drugs that infiltrate America, the more police officers. The more police and drug saturation, the more arrests. The more arrests, the more court fees and incarceration. The more incarcerations, the more slav...I mean prison labor. The more prison labor, the more monetary profits. The more profits, the more lobbying and buying of candidates and judges. The more crooked Politicians, the more drug laws. Repeat loop.

Would be about as difficult logistically as taking on Al Queda. This isn't a uniformed army that you can just have battles with. They would be in hiding and real intilligence work would have to be undertaken and you can't just carpetbomb them since they live within the community. We can do it if needed but since a threat to us isn't imminent there isn't a reason to put such a max effort to stomp them out. They also know we are their customers so they wouldn't dare deliberately start screwing around with Americans on American soil.

This. Plus, the way it is, it's financially beneficial to both parties. Drugs have a huge impact on both economies in different ways. Also, the US would lose in the long run. Can't stop the dope, just not gonna happen.

Would lode in the sense of not being able to completely eliminate drugs. I'm sure we would put a MAJOR dent in the game though, because we are a pretty powerful force. But I just envision something like cocaine being more rare. That wouldn't do anything but increase the demand and the selling price. As far as weed, most of it comes from Mexico, but we really don't need it. We can grow weed over here. Domestic production would just increase.

them cartels are in cahoots with the ones down in South America, it wouldnt make any difference to take them out, just even more bloodshed and violence. whoever referenced the Al qaeda (and even terrorists cells in general) is right. take one out another will sprout up to take its place. then u'd have to do all the legwork to actually locate/infiltrate the next cartel thus making the war on drugs just as futile as the war on terrorism.
