Why has wrestling never done the "off-day" story?

Do you guys get what i`m saying, in so many sports there is times when a legendary player has an "off day".

I think that would be such a cool way of having a top guy lose. You have them miss their moves, and the underdog capitalizes on them to steal a win

The 5 moves of doom and botched the AA. Also missing the big jumping shoulder block he does.

Like a complete match where he is "off" like Tony Romo and then a guy gets the pin on him in a rollup after a botched AA

I get what you mean...but I think it'd just be increasingly difficult & silly to explain a storyline like that the way you'd want because, to a live crowd, it'd just look like the guy was botching...which would probably lead to "You fukked Up" chants (since crowds are so smarky nowadays)...which a PG era WWE probably wouldn't want.
