Why have Lil Wayne and Birdman avoided criticism about bringing Drake to the culture?

Because he paid into the acceptance and accepted the shytty deal they presumably offered, with no dirt tossed.

The thing worthy of speaking about is how they sat silently by while they let the man build himself a persona so grand and sprawling that even he himself got caught up in thinking he was who he said he was. But... Birdman spent his whole career talmbout spending money and we know he don't like to pay for shyt, and Wayne was a goon-ass Blood who said he was the Best Rapper Alive while not being either of those things in any honesty.
