How come you disagree that physical strength means virtually nothing in a career driven society where even social skills are likelier than get you forward?

Yeah, it's no secret that men are on avarege stronger than women. And yes, women are raised to look for protection in other men, most likely because of that.

I wouldn't say primal survival skills are even relevant nowadays, unless you live in a Middle Eastern warzone.

You addressed nothing I said...

There is more to society than just going to work... :snoop:

I'll agree that being able to beat up the person beside me wont get me a promotion in most jobs, but outside of work, it does matter in certain situations.

Unless I'm mistaken, this thread is about men attempting controlling women. We don't even have to go far for that one. Ray Rice, Ed Hardy to name a couple. Do you think that Ed Hardy's girls career made any difference when he was beating the hell out of her? Do you think he would have been able to do that if she was in his body and vice versa?

Crimes of violence and physical domineering don't respect "careers" and "social status"

My sister makes almost quarter of a million dollars a year. I bet she would still feel unsafe in certain environments strictly because she is a woman.

These things still matter in 2016 because human beings are still human beings in 2016

This is probably a horrible example but if you took the average man and the average women places them in a room and one had to come out alive 9-10 the man would leave that room.

Many of the major wars many women were defenseless or were child rearing and didn't learn th necessities to survival/ combat. ( not the women who rolled with ghangis Khan they were some savages :merchant:)

The word control has so many negative connotation to it but I would say that many men throughout history have provided/ supported and protected the family/ country/ village and they feel entitled to it. This is just my opinion on why maybe they tried to control women because women never fought back possibly.

But I think the best socities, proven by history are the ones that treated (maybe not other women) but their women the best. Those socities thrived for quite some time

I don't think we disagree on anything then. Men abusing their physical strength is unfortunately still going to occur. At least the law does what it can.

Yeah that's basically what i'm saying. We can discuss all the things that happened throughout history to get us to the this point, but it literally all started with the difference in physical strength. Everything can be traced back to that.

Well of course men have higher IQ's and created almost everything to date, but I suspect that's merely because of the physical advantage that consequently allowed them to create a monopoly in intellectual fields as well. Nowadays women are statistically doing better than men in school, and while that it may not directly correlate to IQ, it's an indicative that tostesterone does in fact lower one's ability to concentrate.
That's a non sequitur. Boys used to outperform girls in school. the fact if they don't anymore indicates that conditions have changed.

Since we're throwing out claims lol, im going to go out on a limb and say that those conditions are now suiting girls more than boys.
