why is adobe flash such a sh't product?

If you used the internet pre 2000 you would appreciate and value the technology for the time. And it was originally macromedia who made it...

Yea, when Macromedia made it, it was awesome.

yea at the time javascript hadn't matured and jQuery didn't drop till the mid 2000s.
The only way to make complex interactive animations was with flash. The real fall off was with actionscript 3.0. Now we can replicate most of flash through jQuery and css animations
the real question is why do people continue to support it
