There is a lot of pro-Russia propaganda or at least pro-Putin propoganda spread around in Africa. I've seen it a few times first hand and you see it online a lot. The "Africa is a graveyard" fake quote is one of them. A true sentiment but Putin never said it.

American 'think tanks', State Dept. officials/diplomats, and military officials constantly harp about the threat to the African continent from China?
Why is that threat significantly different from the threat that America's military footprint poses to African sovereignty (please see the map below):

From the above map, note the following patterns:
1) The US military is bolstering French attempts to maintain economic and military dominance in West Africa. Purportedly, to stop jihadists. However, French forces willingly lend support to regimes in the region to prevent democracy from arising (Chad, Togo etc.)
2) America is aiding old autocrats like Museveni in Uganda, Biya in Cameroon as they destroy the futures of their young people

Truth be told, America is not that different from China, Russia, Turkiye etc.
