Andre is the best rapper without a solo (rap) album ever.

he's always been great. the only thing you can use to downplay him is not having solo albums. as far as skills he's as good as anybody ever.

I think he is rated about right... Some people think he is trash and very overrated, others think he is a top 5-10 MCs..
He is in my top 20 without a doubt but I came up on Outkast...
I can appreciate that he is selective with his features and doesn't flood the streets with verses and I honestly think he is one of the few rappers who could careless about having a boatload of money and doesn't let $$$ persuade him into do shyt he doesn't want to do...
Listening to that first Outkast album and hearing home much he has evovled is

He's rated properly to me...most people generally acknowledge that he's one of the nicest from the south and top 20 overall.
Let this dude get in the studio with somebody like Kanye or The Roots or some other soulful/jazzy-type producer and he will release an instant classic. It's depressing how long it's been since he actually rapped on a whole album.
