Why is black lives matter targetting Sanders and not the GOP?

is this true?

Birther row began with Hillary Clinton

The lie that Barack Obama was not born in the US has been fuelled by fringe Republicans — but supporters of Hillary Clinton, now Mr Obama’s Secretary of State, are largely to blame for starting it.
False rumours about Mr Obama’s background first surfaced in 2004, in Illinois, where he was a state senator. Andy Martin, a perennial local candidate and litigant, claimed Mr Obama was secretly Muslim.

Related theories — including that he was radicalised in a “madrassa” in Indonesia — developed after Mr Obama entered the national stage with a speech to the Democratic National Convention later that year.

In 2005, Mr Obama went to Washington as the junior US senator for Illinois. The rumours about him persisted, but seemingly failed to take hold among political insiders and voters alike.

It was not until April 2008, at the height of the intensely bitter Democratic presidential primary process, that the touch paper was properly lit.

An anonymous email circulated by supporters of Mrs Clinton, Mr Obama’s main rival for the party’s nomination, thrust a new allegation into the national spotlight — that he had not been born in Hawaii.

“Barack Obama’s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy,” it said. “She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth.” Then in August 2008 Phil Berg, an ex-deputy attorney general for Pennsylvania and a renowned conspiracy theorist, filed a lawsuit alleging that Mr Obama was ineligible to be a candidate.

“Obama carries multiple citizenships and is ineligible to run for President of the United States. United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1,” it said.

By then, the Obama campaign had posted a copy of his “certificate of live birth” — a shorter version of the birth certificate, which is accepted as proof of birth from applicants for a US passport.

But the fact it was not the full, original certificate — and that the campaign failed to show the serial number and other details in their scan — meant that the conspiracy theorists were unbowed.

The director of the Hawaii health department stated that she had seen the full certificate and that it was all in order. Entries from the birth records sections of two local newspapers from the time were found.

Yet still some were unconvinced, explaining away this extra evidence, and demanding to see the full certificate, which Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital said it could not release.

After Mr Obama’s election victory and inauguration, the conspiracy theory survived, albeit quietly. Crudely fake Kenyan birth certificates purporting to prove it were circulated, and more lawsuits about Mr Obama’s birth were filed.

It was not until last month, and the emergence of the property tyc00n Donald Trump as a potential Republican presidential candidate, that the issue was thrust back into national prominence.

Mr Trump outed himself as a “birther” in an interview on his private jet on March 17. “The reason I have a little doubt — just a little — is because he grew up and nobody knew him,” he told ABC News.

Over the following weeks, Mr Trump reiterated his comments repeatedly. He added a string of further allegations, including that Mr Obama’s grandmother had recalled witnessing his birth in Kenya, which were simply not true.

While insisting that the media was forcing him to talk about the subject, Mr Trump eventually resurrected the demand for Mr Obama to produce his full birth certificate.

Last week a poll suggested almost half of Republican voters believed the president was not born in the US. It appears to have convinced the White House that it was time to act.

Because if they had did this at a conservative event, they would've been quickly arrested. Besides, conservatives don't give a fukk about blacks; I'm not saying democrats do either but conservatives sure as hell don't give a fukk about black people.

I've noticed at conservative events, security is more beefed up and troublemakers are quickly dealt with.

lol are they serious? Liberals have always been participants in racism, and architects of it, dating back to the inception of racism :skip:

I simply can't take them seriously until they do this at a Hillary event. Criticism and critical support of Bernie is cool, and I agree that needs to be done, but he's not the only one running... nor is he even the frontrunner.
I don't know what the political affiliations of the protesters were, but you see that kind of puritanical logic a lot among anarchist groups. It's basically a question of whether change can happen from the inside or not. I don't think that paying my taxes or buying Nikes makes me any less of a leftist.

Yes, there's a lot of "soft" racism among white liberals, but there are good ones, too :yeshrug:

All in all, fukk the Democrats, and stop trying to build a movement around a candidate. No candidate will do jack shyt in the scheme of things. The key is to build power in the workplace and in your community. When that is sufficiently strong, you can force demands on the system, instead of begging to be recognized or trying to latch on to anything that looks hopeful (like Sanders' campaign) as you walk down the path to inevitable disappointment.

It's said that if you decide to act above reproach, you had better be above reproach. It seems that Marissa "Johnson" Jenae did not heed this warning. A photo posted by Jenae to her FB page (Linked) in which she stated "This woman has known me since high school, back when I had a Sarah Palin button on backpack....we been thru a lot."

Alone, we can surmise that she may have made a few questionable choices in her youth. OK, she was young, but Palin was a candidate for VP running against the first black president. But when I read down a little further, my benefit of the doubt limit had been reached.

"GOP shoulda groomed me right then...now they gotta see me on the other side *shrugs*"

For real? It's like that? This wasn't 8 years, or even 4 years ago. She posted that last month. So my question is, what kinda grooming would it have taken?

If you're going to accuse white liberals of racism, and target the only presidential candidate, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders with a 40 year track record of standing up for #BlackLivesMatter you might not want people to know that "I had a Sarah Palin button on my backpack" or admit that the GOP could have "groomed you more". Because now you look disingenuous at best, and an agent provocateur at worse

Hiliary Clinton is the champion of black people brehs. That's why she supported mandatory minimums, three strikes, cutting welfare, draconian housing laws, NAFTA, Capital punishment, and Wall Street banks that disproportionately targeted blacks and then disproportionately lost their wealth in the crash.

The Clintons have always been great friends to the black community. Ever since sistah soulja

:troll:

Its also why she was a conspirator along with her husband and the CIA, destroying black communities in exchange for funding in the Contra war.

She is the devil.

High volume narcotics trafficking is nothing compared to some propaganda bullshyt like this. Which is why I have no doubt that this is all a ploy of the higher ups.. it's so painfully obvious. Pray to god that Bernie Sanders beats her and doesn't die of a "heart attack" in the coming year.

And using a 50 year old photo of a young Bernie at a Civil Rights march is really not going to do much to help his cause because the response to that is always going to be "what have you done for me lately?" and the push back that solving income inequality will solve the racial inequality problem is a non-starter too because having black/brown skin has always superseded having a fat bank account in this country when it comes to racism.
EXACTLY

Its 2015, wake up. I dont care that you marched with King. I dont care that most of these black people marched with King, its 2015 and shyt is happening today. We need to worry about today's issues.

Bernie is incredible tone deaf on this and he needs to be called out.

As does Hillary, etc.

Black people stay falling for the white liberal bullshyt.

So are they ultralefts that read Black Agenda Report or Clinton stooges that used to be GOP stooges?

Man it's hard to tell. That Marissa Johnson woman was exposed as a former Palin supporter in an earlier Facebook post. The whole thing is confusing, but very very fishy.

I live in a liberal white-Asian area and the cops still discriminate against blacks. And honestly I'd rather live in the South than where I do now. I'd see more black people, more black community, etc. I don't think the cops will ever unfairly targeting blacks anywhere the cops are majority non-black, blacks are poor and there is crime. Politics is irrelevant as cops aren't politicians. Black Lives Matter is not even going to change anything but saying so in front of Bernie Sanders doesn't make things any worse certainly.
