I mean, a lot of the most "core" black artists that people say influenced them, came from Bad Boy in the last 20 years years.

And Puff had nothing to do with any of that, outside of giving them a plat form. Which they would've had else where.

Where does this stop? Do we give Jimmy Iovine credit for every artist influenced by anyone ever signed to Interscope?

Let's put it like this....BIG would've gotten on some how with or without Puff. Would he have been as famous? Possibly no....but I'm 100% sure Puff would've never been able to break into 90's rap by himself. He was too goofy and pop. He would've had to play the back ground as a producer.

Im sure they made money but i've heard stories how he makes money OFF of them making money

Danity Kane - he told them "you gotta have a Bentley in the video" then he put his in there and charged them a $2000 rental fee. Then told them u gotta have Day 26 in the video, then charged them for using his artists for promo. Then charged Day 26 for their promo.

But i still respect his hustle :lolbron:

Perception. He gave the perception that these are not employees, they are his friends, brothers and sisters. And, soon as they hits dry up they become employees. At, least Jay Z signs you let you put in your own work and if you get hot, he will stand next to you so he can use your hotness.
Exactly, it's about loyalty.
