The question is why is this dud popular. Not why prudction or sounds have changed.:comeon:

Drake reflects a lot of Gen Y: where they spend their adulthoods in relative peace. This ain't gen X where you had Rodney King Riots and crack sales in the hoods in abundance. Only in Hip Hop where people get shytted on cause how he grew up. Crab-in-a-barrel mentality that this artform needs to elevate from.

Drake is the epitome of today's generation. Even if you have nothing to complain about, and never really went though much. If your pain is just a little bit, its still pain. Woe is me, woe is me. :to:

Drake represents everything that is wrong with this nanny culture we live in. He probably never got an ass whopping a day of his life. Oh, but its ok. He pulls plenty of tail. I accepted it a long time ago, its the world we live in today.
