:ohhh:can can anybody can anybody explain to me why nobody hates this man anymore? When I was a kid, dude was hated and was a clown on a global scale. Now everybody loves him?

Among other things, Bush supported a constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage at the federal level and called the groundbreaking 2004 Massachusetts Supreme Court decision on marriage equality “troubling.” He has also referred to LGBTQ+ rights as “special rights” and claimed he wasn't sure whether homosexuality is a choice. Throughout his career, he opposed gay inclusion in the Boy Scouts, same-sex adoptions, and LGBTQ+ inclusive hate crime laws.

Now I see ppl bring up Michelle being friends wit dude... wtf

Because the “Republican” in the White House now makes us say,

“George W wasn’t so bad.”
:ehh:

And obviously, he was a bad president, but he seems like a decent human being, despite policy.

I could imagine being in the company of Bush, and having a regular conversation about something. I can’t fathom ever getting along with Trump.

And none of this Bush is invited to the hypothetical black cookout shyt

Word is, Bush is actually a very likeable person politics aside.

The other word is, he never really wanted to be president and Cheney ran everything.

Not saying this excuses anything, but he is a public figure and when people interact they'll probably see beyond at least the political incompetence and regicide and at worst criminally negligent mass genocide.

I've heard several times that he's a cool guy to hang out with. Also the Texas economy has through the roof since his tenure
